InnerGate Entertainment and Shamack Productions Present

Shamack Productions and InnerGate Entertainment, LLC are proud to unveil the exciting, new stage dance musical "Shim Sham" for theatre audiences everywhere! "Shim Sham" is based upon the life and times of Buddy Bradley. Buddy was the “ghost” choreographer and tap-dancing genius behind such stars as Fred Astaire, Ruby Keeler, many of the great Busby Berkeley musicals and Ziegfeld Follies shows, as well as many, many more. From Harlem to Broadway, through Hollywood’s Golden Age of cinema and beyond to London, Paris and the International stage, it’s a storybook plot, except for one thing. Since Buddy Bradley was black, he was never given his rightful due in American theatre or motion pictures. Until now, he has not been properly credited in the US for his creative contribution to some of the biggest successes in show business. "Shim Sham" is dedicated to making that so flawed situation, and Buddy's story and reputation history!

"Shim Sham" is the stage play loosely based on Buddy Bradley’s life from the 1930s to 1960s, from the viewpoint of Buddy’s protégé Johnny Brandon (JB), who later became a success in the music business, in his own right. "Shim Sham" encompasses the era, its music and an exciting and enlightening look behind the scenes, and at entertainment legends. It’s a story that involves movie stars, a famous New York City Mayor, his famous starlet girlfriend, and the gangster-owner of The Cotton Club, who was the Mayor’s henchman, at the time.

The plot moves from famous Harlem hot-spots to the brightest spotlights of the Great White Way, on to Hollywood, London, and back again. "Shim Sham" illuminates the Buddy Bradley legacy, in a timely tale that focuses on a talented man who was a great artist, a nimble dancer on stage (and in a very rare but brief film clip), and an unsung creative genius in the country that he loved and that loved his work, but never had an inkling, beyond the creative community in which he flourished.
