Welcome! We are proud to announce that our feature project “In God I Trust,” actively developed over the past year, is pending a move into pre-production. The screenplay is by award-winning screenwriter Patrick Nicholas. Scott Miller of Scott Miller & Company (scottmillerandco.com), is attached to direct. Named by Kodak as one of the top 100 cinematographers in the world, Scott is an amazingly talented visual storyteller. We are very enthusiastic to have him heading the creative production team of this dynamic project.
“In God I Trust” is based on the Robert Vidal book “BloodCaine,” a gritty jailhouse memoir from Mr. Vidal’s own life experiences. Taking place in a cocaine-drenched Newark, NJ of the ‘80s, “In God I Trust” tells Robert’s story of going from Navy misfit to an unemployed expectant newly-wed, whose luckless life suddenly changes when hired by a man who becomes his mentor, and teaches him how to become a feared and respected drug king-pin.
Haunted by his mother’s devotion and her desire to turn his life around, returning to his more spiritual upbringing, Robert’s determined to make a better life for his new wife and family. He loves his mother and new family, but doesn’t know how to reconcile either amidst the tumultuous life-style he now leads. Told in the vein of such crime-genre classics as “Scarface” and “Goodfellas,” it is more than just “drugs, guns, bling and dames” that brings “In God I Trust” to another level, as this complex story of hope, crime, drugs, God and redemption unravels and gets ready to roll into production for the big screen.
